What Sets Us Apart From Competitors?
We require all dogs over 6 months of age to be current on rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella vaccinations. We are also happy to accept titer tests for any clients choosing to take a more holistic approach to disease prevention. Any puppies under 5 months must show proof of at least 2 distemper/parvo shots as well as an intranasal bordetella.
Prior to being accepted into our pack, every dog must undergo a meet and greet evaluation with our group supervisor. These evaluations are available by appointment only Monday through Saturday. Clients should expect this process to take roughly 30 minutes. During the meet & greet, your dog will be taken into one of our play yards and given a few minutes to investigate his new surroundings. Once he is comfortable, we will select one other dog from our existing play groups to say "hello" to your dog.
We continue the process of introducing one dog at a time until we reach an average group size of 8 dogs. Provided that your dog is happy and comfortable, he will spend a few minutes with his new friends while we take you on a tour of our facility. After the tour has ended, you may choose to take your dog home with you, or allow him to stay and enjoy a fun and exciting day of play.
The only REQUIRED item to bring for your dog’s next lodging stay is his food. We ask that all meals be pre packaged into individual Ziploc baggies (1 baggie =1 serving). Canine & Company provides comfortable bedding for all lodgers, but you are more than welcome to bring in your dog’s own bed or special blankie to make them feel more comfortable. You may also bring your dog’s favorite toys and/or treats to keep in his individual enclosure! Please no rawhides as they pose a choking hazard.
